South Sumatra Police Conduct Sispamkota Simulation, Testing Field Personnel's Technical Capabilities
The South Sumatra Regional Police (Polda Sumsel) conducted a simulation for the 2026 Urban Security System (Sispamkota) at the Shooting Range field in Jakabaring Sport City, Palembang, South Sumatra. Polda Sumsel explained that this activity is a continuation of the human resource capacity-building programme, which was previously carried out through training on the use of force based on ethics and human rights (HAM).
“Every personnel must understand that the use of force is carried out proportionally, in accordance with the law, and still upholds human rights. This training serves as a benchmark for our readiness in the field,” said Deputy Chief of Polda Sumsel, Brigadier General Rony Samtana, in his statement on Saturday (11/4/2026).
The Sispamkota simulation took place yesterday (10/4) at 09:30 WIB. Brigadier General Rony, representing the Chief of Polda Sumsel, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, led the simulation.
On the same occasion, the Head of Public Relations of Polda Sumsel, Commissioner Nandang Mu’min Wijaya, explained that this simulation also supports the implementation of the Polri Presisi programme. It is known that the Presisi slogan is an acronym for predictive, responsibility, and transparent justice.
“Strengthening the operational competence of personnel is key to increasing public trust. Polda Sumsel is committed to presenting professional, humane, and responsive personnel,” said Nandang.
Attending the 2026 Sispamkota Simulation were the Inspector of the Deputy Chief of Polda Sumsel, Commissioner Feri Handoko Soenarso, as well as the main officials (PJU), district police chiefs, and heads of the mobile brigade units in the Polda Sumsel ranks. The series of activities began with a rehearsal, then an assembly up to the demonstration of the simulation in the field.
The 2026 Sispamkota Simulation of Polda Sumsel was closed with an evaluation and directions from the Deputy Chief of Polda Sumsel, the Head of Operations, and the Commander of the Mobile Brigade.
This simulation is believed to integrate various important aspects, from crowd control tactics, cross-unit coordination, to quick response to emergency situations. It is hoped that all personnel involved in Sispamkota will be able to face the dynamics of field duties professionally and proportionally.
“Polda South Sumatra ensures that personnel capability enhancement activities will continue to be carried out periodically as part of the transformation towards a Presisi Polri, to provide the best service to the community and maintain security stability in the South Sumatra region,” concluded Nandang.
