South Sumatra Police Chief Visits Prosecutor's Office to Strengthen 'Nyago Bumi Sriwijaya' Synergy
South Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Sandi Nugroho paid a courtesy visit to the South Sumatra High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati) in Jakabaring, Palembang, on Tuesday (14/7).
The meeting was held as an effort to strengthen synergy between the police and the prosecution service in maintaining public security and order (kamtibmas) in South Sumatra.
During the visit, Sandi was accompanied by several senior officials of the South Sumatra Regional Police, including Deputy Police Chief Brigadier General Rony Samtana, the Director of General Crimes, the Director of Narcotics, the Director of Women and Children Protection, the Intelligence Director, the Community Affairs Director, the Water and Air Police Director, the Professional Standards Head, and the Public Relations Head. The delegation was welcomed by the Head of the South Sumatra Kejati, Ketut Sumedana, along with his deputy and assistants.
Sandi said the visit was part of efforts to strengthen relations between law enforcement institutions in order to support a conducive security situation in South Sumatra.
“Today’s visit was carried out to enhance synergy with our colleagues at the prosecutor’s office. Our main goal is to consolidate a conducive Kamtibmas situation in South Sumatra, which is also an inseparable part of our shared spirit, namely ‘Nyago Bumi Sriwijaya’,” said Sandi.
Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations at the South Sumatra Regional Police, Chief Commissioner Nandang Mu’min Wijaya, described the meeting as a manifestation of both institutions’ commitment to strengthening collaboration in law enforcement.
According to him, synergy between the police and the prosecution service is expected to further improve services to the public, whilst also creating a sense of security through solid coordination among law enforcement agencies.
“This meeting sends a very clear message to the public that law enforcement agencies in South Sumatra are very solid,” he said.
“This proactive collaboration without sectoral ego is purely oriented towards creating a sense of security and legal protection for all elements of society,” Nandang added.
The warm and strong synergy between the police and the prosecution service in South Sumatra is not merely a form of institutional coordination, but a tangible manifestation of the state’s presence among the community.
Through the brotherly spirit of ‘Nyago Bumi Sriwijaya’, the two law enforcement institutions stand shoulder to shoulder to ensure that the wheels of life, development and the economy of South Sumatra’s residents continue to turn on a foundation of security that is solid, calm and peaceful.
