South Sumatra Police Chief Visits High Prosecutor's Office, Dismisses Friction Rumours and Affirms Brotherhood
Palembang – South Sumatra Police Chief, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, made a warm and friendly visit to the South Sumatra High Prosecutor’s Office on Tuesday, 14 July 2026. The moment of camaraderie between the top leaders of the region’s law enforcement institutions served as a strong message to dispel any rumours of inter-agency friction that have been circulating recently. The arrival of the Police Chief and his senior officials was greeted with brotherly smiles by the Head of the South Sumatra High Prosecutor’s Office, Ketut Sumedana. The closeness of the two institutions was evident through various relaxed yet meaningful moments during the visit. The event included fluid discussions and exchanges of ideas regarding law enforcement synergy, as well as the presentation of mementoes, a book handover, and a room tour to inspect the High Prosecutor’s Office environment, concluding with a group photo session. High Prosecutor Ketut Sumedana affirmed that communication and closeness between the Prosecutor’s Office and the Police in South Sumatra have been running very well and harmoniously, like a family. ‘Today we are visited by the Police Chief and his colleagues. This is a routine friendly gathering we regularly hold. Afterwards, it will be my turn to visit the Police Chief. This is to strengthen our ties and ensure there are no external frictions. What is clear is that we remain brothers,’ Ketut stated.
