South Sumatra Police Chief Inaugurates House Renovation in Musi Rawas, Residents Appreciate with Gethuk Gift

The handover of keys for this house renovation programme took place on Wednesday (29/4/2026). This assistance represents the police’s step to lighten the burden on the community during tough times. Juwono, a resident who can now reoccupy his habitable home, could not hold back his emotions when receiving the key symbolically from the two-star general.

“Assalamualaikum Wr. Wb., on behalf of Juwono, a resident of Wonosari Village, Megang Sakti Subdistrict, we extend a thousand thanks for the house renovation assistance. May the Police Chief always succeed and the National Police be increasingly loved by the people,” stated Juwono with a trembling voice.

Not just prayers, Juwono also handed over a simple gift in the form of gethuk, made by his own hands, as a sign of affection.

“We have a small souvenir for the Police Chief, we hope you will accept it. This is a traditional food,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Musi Rawas Police Chief, AKBP Agung Adhitya Prananta, stated that the Police Chief greatly appreciated such sincerity.

“He was very moved and brought the gethuk back to Palembang. This is not just food, but a symbol of the strong emotional bond between the National Police and the people,” he explained.

The Head of Public Relations of the South Sumatra Police, Kombes Nandang Mu’min Wijaya, added that besides the house renovation, this visit also included strengthening public services through the inauguration of the SPKT Building and the Community Security Belt Roll Call to ensure the regional situation remains conducive.
