South Sumatra Named National Nominee for 2026 Investment Service Awards
The Vice Governor of South Sumatra, H. Cik Ujang, received the nomination for South Sumatra Province in the 2026 National Investment Service Awards (ALI) organised by the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) in Jakarta on Wednesday (16/09/2026).
South Sumatra has entered the ALI 2026 nominations within the Provincial Government category. In this category, South Sumatra is one of several provinces nominated alongside West Java, Central Java, East Java, North Maluku, and South Sulawesi.
The nomination was personally received by the Vice Governor of South Sumatra, H. Cking Ujang, during the 2026 Investment Service Awards event.
In his address, the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM, Rosan Roeslani, expressed his appreciation to the regional heads and local government representatives attending the annual event.
According to Rosan, the quality of investment services in the regions plays a vital role in creating an increasingly conducive investment climate. He noted that efficient licensing services determine the ease with which business actors can operate and expand their investments.
He added that the Investment Service Awards are not merely an awards ceremony, but also part of an effort to encourage local governments to continuously improve the administration of investment services.
“Certainty in service timing, clear procedures, and measurable governance are several important aspects in providing security and certainty for investors,” said Rosan.
South Sumatra’s inclusion in the 2026 ALI nominations serves as an incentive for the local government to continue enhancing the quality of services provided to the business community. This aligns with the South Sumatra Provincial Government’s efforts to create an investment climate that is increasingly open, easy, transparent, and certain.
Through these service quality improvements, South Sumatra continues to strengthen synergy with the central government and the business world to encourage the influx of investment that can provide a positive impact on economic growth and public welfare.
