South Sumatra Legislative Council Leader's Official Residence Budgeted IDR486.9 Million for Billiards Tables
The Chair of the South Sumatra Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), Andie Dinialdie, has addressed the planned procurement of two billiards tables for the official residences (rumdis) of two DPRD leaders, valued at IDR486.9 million.
He stated that the billiards tables remain in the planning stage. “I have already contacted the Secretary of the Council to clarify the procurement of these items,” said Andie on Sunday (8 March), as reported by detikSumbagsel. “However, for everyone’s information, this is still in the planning phase, there has been no purchase yet,” he added.
According to data from the General Procurement Planning Information System (SIRUP) of the Government Goods/Services Procurement Policy Agency (LKPP) from the South Sumatra DPRD Secretariat as of 7 March 2026, the procurement plan includes a billiards table for the Chair valued at IDR151 million and for the Third Vice Chair at IDR335.9 million.
Andie claimed that the billiards tables in the official residences of the DPRD leadership would serve as an alternative training facility for South Sumatra billiards athletes. “So in addition to existing venues, they can also train at the official residence,” said Andie, who is also Chair of the All-Indonesia Billiards Sports Association (POBSI) for South Sumatra.
However, the Golkar Party legislator acknowledged public concerns regarding the use of regional government budgets. He stated that each procurement plan would be evaluated again with consideration given to principles of efficiency and priority needs. “If it is deemed not urgent or does not provide significant benefits, then the procurement can be reviewed or even cancelled,” he said.
