South Sulawesi prepares price standardisation posts to maintain stability during Ramadan
The South Sulawesi Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) carried out surprise inspections at a number of markets to ensure the stability of staple goods prices during the holy month of Ramadan.
South Sulawesi Governor Andi Sudirman Sulaiman said in Makassar on Friday (20/2) that monitoring results showed prices of basic commodities remained relatively stable.
To anticipate potential price increases ahead of Eid al-Fitr, the South Sulawesi provincial government, in collaboration with the state logistics agency Perum Bulog, will establish price standardisation posts at several markets. These posts will serve as price benchmarks for the public.
