South Korean National Found Dead in Bekasi with Sharp Object Wounds
A South Korean national, S (66), was found dead, covered in blood, in Tambun Selatan, Bekasi Regency, West Java on Wednesday, 27 May. ‘According to the timeline, yesterday afternoon at 3pm, he was found by his daughter, already deceased,’ said Tambun Selatan Police Chief Kompol Wuryanti when contacted on Thursday, 28 May. Preliminary examinations revealed the victim had wounds from both sharp and blunt objects. ‘Yes, blunt force injuries are suspected, as well as sharp objects,’ he added. However, police have not yet determined the cause of death. Wuryanti stated the victim’s body is currently undergoing an autopsy to establish the cause of death. ‘The conclusion will come during the investigation, as the autopsy is ongoing. The exact cause of death will be known later, but it is clear the victim suffered multiple traumatic injuries,’ he said. Wuryanti said police are conducting the investigation and have coordinated with the South Korean Embassy regarding the case. ‘As he is a foreign national, we have informed the South Korean Embassy in Jakarta,’ he added.
