South Korean National Found Dead in Bekasi After Suspected Murder, Body Covered in Sharp Force Trauma
South Korean national S (66) was found dead, covered in blood, in his home in Tambun, Bekasi Regency. The victim is suspected to have been murdered after multiple signs of blunt and sharp force trauma were discovered on his body.
“Yes, there was blunt force trauma. It is suspected to involve both blunt and sharp instruments,” said Kompol Wuryanti, South Tambun Police Chief, when contacted on Thursday (28 May 2026).
The victim’s body was first discovered by his daughter on Wednesday (27 May). “The sequence of events was yesterday afternoon at 15:00 WIB, when he was found by his daughter. He was already deceased,” she said.
The victim was found alone in his home. The corpse was discovered covered in blood upon initial discovery.
“Yes, the victim was found alone at home. Yes, in a bloodied condition,” she stated.
Wuryanti stated the body is currently undergoing autopsy. Initial examinations revealed multiple injuries across the victim’s body.
“Further conclusions will be drawn during the investigation. The autopsy is ongoing. The exact cause of death will be determined later, but it is clear there are multiple trauma injuries on the body,” she explained.
The case remains under police investigation. Authorities have also coordinated with the South Korean Embassy in Jakarta.
