South Korean Elderly Woman Found Drenched in Blood in Tambun Selatan, Bekasi
An elderly South Korean national, identified as S (66), was found dead, drenched in blood, inside a house in Tambun Selatan, Bekasi Regency, West Java. S was discovered lifeless by her daughter on Wednesday (27 May) afternoon. Police noted signs of violence on the South Korean national. The victim’s body has been autopsied to determine the cause of death. ‘Findings will be concluded during the investigation; an autopsy is being conducted. The exact cause of death will be known later,’ said Tambun Selatan Police Chief Wuryanti when contacted by reporters on Thursday (28 May). ‘Clearly, there are multiple signs of blunt force trauma on the victim’s body,’ Wuryanti added. ‘Yes, suspected blunt and sharp instruments.’ Wuryanti explained that the body was found lifeless and covered in blood by the daughter on Wednesday afternoon. ‘The timeline is yesterday afternoon at 3 PM; she was found by her daughter. She was already deceased,’ Wuryanti said. Prior to discovery, the victim was believed to have been alone in the house. ‘Police are conducting investigations, and as she is a foreign national, we have notified the South Korean Embassy in Jakarta,’ she added.
