President Prabowo Subianto received an honorary visit from the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) on Monday, 28 April 2025. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto revealed that the meeting was attended by approximately 19 major South Korean companies, 18 of which have already invested in Indonesia.

"The total investment made by these 19 companies amounts to nearly USD 15.4 billion," Airlangga told media at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Monday (28/4/2025).

Airlangga stated that the 19 companies plan to increase their investment in Indonesia by up to USD 1.7 billion. "In total, the investment in Rupiah terms already carried out by these companies stands at Rp269 trillion, with an additional Rp30 trillion to follow," he explained.

Among the companies is Lotte Chemicals, whose facilities are expected to be inaugurated around September-October, including a petrochemical plant, Airlangga noted.

Airlangga said President Prabowo has in principle approved Indonesia's participation in Lotte Chemicals, tasking Danantara with conducting a study and following up on the investment.
