The South Korean government is aiming for 440,000 Indonesian tourists to visit South Korea throughout 2026.

One of the efforts being made is to promote tourism in Korea through the Korea Hybrid Travel Fair 2026. “This event is being held as one of the efforts to achieve the target of 440,000 Indonesian tourists to South Korea,” said Director of the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) for Indonesia, Kim Jisun, when met at the opening of the Korea Hybrid Travel Fair 2026 at the Gandaria City mall, Friday (15/5/2026).

This travel exhibition combines two OTAs, Traveloka and tiket.com, in collaboration with a number of airlines, and partner bank BRI.

On the same occasion, Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Travel Agent Association (ASTINDO), Anton Sumarli, said that South Korea is one of the favourite destinations for Indonesian tourists.

“Based on our data, South Korea is one of the top five destinations in our travel industry. So the number of tourists to South Korea is very large and its growth is also very good,” said Anton.

A number of attractive promos are offered during the event, one of which is a promo for plane tickets to South Korea for round-trip flights for only IDR 2 million.

“The most attractive promo is a discount of IDR 2 million which is available in a flash sale at 7:00 PM. With this promo, customers can buy round-trip tickets to South Korea for only around IDR 2 million,” said Head of Partnerships Traveloka, Stevens Hendrajaya, at the opening of the Korea Hybrid Travel Fair at the Gandaria City mall, Friday (15/5/2026).

He added that other promos offered include discounts of up to IDR 2 million for trips to South Korea using the Traveloka Paylater promo.

Then there is a cashback of up to IDR 2 million, prize games, an additional promo of IDR 500,000, and merchandise.

On the same occasion, another online travel agent (OTA), namely Tiket.com, also offered attractive promos during the exhibition.

Not only that, tiket.com also offers instant cashback of up to IDR 600,000 for the purchase of plane tickets during the exhibition.

Meanwhile, BRI bank as a partner bank also offers attractive promos, in the form of cashback of up to IDR 4 million for transactions using BRI credit cards.
