South Kalimantan Wastra Showcased at IFA Archipelago

South Kalimantan wastra was showcased at the Indonesia Fashion Aesthetic (IFA) Archipelago South Kalimantan 2026 event held on 11 August in Banjarbaru. According to a press release from the organisers, the fashion show emphasised the use of traditional fabrics, particularly Sasirangan cloth. The collections on display included works by VIVIZUBEDI, Si.Se.Sa, Ayu Dyah Andari, Lia Soraya, Donna Prive, Arabellescarf, Dekranasda South Kalimantan Province, Khanaan, Motif Hawa, and Buttonscarves. The designers combined wastra, regional cultural heritage, and contemporary fashion in their creations. During the event, Hj. Kathrin Ambarsari, S.Hut. was honoured as The Most Inspiring Sasirangan Designer. IFA Archipelago is held to broaden IFA’s reach to various regions across Indonesia. The platform brings together fashion and beauty-aesthetic business actors and professionals within a single ecosystem.
