South Kalimantan Deputy Governor Meets Coordinating Minister for Politics and Security to Discuss Stability and Development

Jakarta – South Kalimantan Deputy Governor Hasnuryadi Sulaiman met with Coordinating Minister for Politics and Security Djamari Chaniago in Jakarta on Thursday, 12 March 2026.

The visit served as an opportunity to strengthen synergy between the South Kalimantan Provincial Government and the central government.

Hasnuryadi revealed that his relationship with Djamari has been long-standing. He described the Coordinating Minister as a figure he deeply respects and considers a paternal advisor who frequently offers guidance.

“He is not only a national figure and senior whom I respect, but a father figure who always gives me advice and sets an example,” Hasnuryadi said.

He visited Djamari to seek counsel, as the minister was a close friend of Hasnuryadi’s late father, H Abdussamad Sulaiman. Beyond his role as a state official, Djamari also maintains close ties with the Hasnur family and serves as commissioner of Hasnur Group, which was founded by the late Abdussamad Sulaiman.

According to Hasnuryadi, the advice and experience of senior figures such as Djamari are essential as he carries out his duties as deputy governor, particularly in maintaining political stability and security in the region and ensuring development proceeds in line with national policies.

During the meeting, the two discussed not only cross-sectoral coordination between the region and central government, but also touched upon values of leadership, wisdom, and moral responsibility in serving the public.

“We want every development step in South Kalimantan to align with national policy, whilst remaining grounded in family values, local wisdom, and commitment to the people,” Hasnuryadi concluded.
