The South Jakarta Office of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM Jaksel) is delivering financial literacy education to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through a digital game called ‘Trading Game’. ‘Through this game, MSME actors are taught to distinguish personal expenses from business expenses because they must be separated,’ said Djaharuddin, Head of the South Jakarta PPKUKM, during the opening of the Dekranasda bazaar at the South Jakarta City Hall on Tuesday. He said the game has been created to help business actors understand the management of business finances in a simple and interactive way. The game was developed through collaboration between the Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta, PT Netzme Kreasi Indonesia, and Ruangguru as part of financial literacy education for MSMEs. According to Djaharuddin, improving financial literacy is important so that business actors can see business development in a more measurable way. He also hopes the education can help business actors better understand capital management, financial recording, and business development strategies. ‘It is hoped that business actors can be helped to learn about finance through the game,’ Djaharuddin said. The Dekranasda bazaar and the Family Welfare Empowerment and Welfare PKK UP2K groups in South Jakarta ran from 19 to 21 May 2026, involving 30 MSMEs nurtured by various sub-districts in South Jakarta. Through various innovations and collaborations, Pemprov DKI continues to strengthen the MSME ecosystem so that they can move up a notch and be globally competitive.
