South Jakarta Mayor Syafrin Liputo announced the use of Flood Control System technology to monitor water levels in real time during the rainy season. Speaking at a regional leadership coordination forum on Thursday, Liputo said the technology is one of several efforts by the city administration to manage flooding. Other measures include the construction of retention basins and embung, building infiltration wells, and conducting mass community clean-ups of waterways and rivers.

On the issue of public order, Liputo has instructed the South Jakarta Transportation Agency to take firm action against illegal parking and to strengthen integrated patrols. He also called for transparent implementation of labour-intensive programmes to anticipate the impact of global and domestic economic challenges, stressing that recruitment must be free from favouritism or external intervention.

Liputo emphasised the importance of cross-sector collaboration to address strategic issues in South Jakarta, stating that the coordination forum should serve as a space for honest dialogue and solution-building. Deputy Speaker of the Jakarta DPRD, Wibi Andrino, added that the government must combine firmness with a humanist approach, guided by the principles of legal certainty, public benefit, and justice.
