South Jakarta Transportation Sub-District Office Personnel on Standby at Ragunan and Tebet Eco Park
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Several personnel from the South Jakarta Transportation Sub-District Office (Sudinhub Jaksel) are on standby at various tourist spots, including Ragunan Zoo and Tebet Eco Park, to maintain smooth traffic during the Eid holiday. “Our focus is on those two locations because they are potentially crowded with visitors every year,” said the Head of South Jakarta Sudinhub, Bernad Oktavianus Pasaribu, in Jakarta on Monday. He stated that the personnel are placed at several tourist points that are prone to vehicle congestion, including Ragunan Zoo and Tebet Eco Park. According to him, the on-site officers will regulate traffic flow or vehicle movements and direct tourists to park their vehicles in the provided locations. For security at Tebet Eco Park, he continued, five personnel are deployed, while in the Ragunan Zoo area, more officers are on standby, namely around 17 to 20 personnel divided into two shifts. “All field officers do not work alone. They coordinate with relevant parties, such as TNI, Police, and Satpol PP (Civil Service Police Unit),” said Bernad. He also urged the public to remain orderly in traffic, especially regarding vehicle parking. If vehicles are parked haphazardly, it can trigger congestion and disrupt the comfort of other visitors. “We have tow trucks on standby at every monitoring point to anticipate illegal parking. We urge the public to be careful on the roads and utilise the public transportation provided by the government to avoid congestion,” stated Bernad.
