South Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department sanctions officers for altering illegal parking "timestamp" in JAKI
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The South Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department (Sudinhub Jaksel) has imposed strict sanctions on officers who altered photo documentation timestamps for illegal parking on the Jakarta Kini (JAKI) application.
“Regarding the incident, the South Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department has taken firm action in the form of a severe reprimand through a Warning Letter to the Head of the Mampang Prapatan District Transportation Implementation Unit along with the involved personnel to ensure such incidents do not recur,” said Head of the South Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department Bernad Octavianus Pasaribu in Jakarta on Friday.
He stated that his side acknowledges shortcomings and inconsistencies in the reporting administration process, particularly regarding the use of photo documentation with timestamp discrepancies, which have created an inaccurate perception among the public.
Therefore, his side extends an apology to the public for the inconvenience arising from the circulation of reports on social media regarding alleged inconsistencies in documentation for handling public complaints via the JAKI application.
“We apologise for this incident. It serves as a lesson for us to continuously improve accuracy, integrity, and professionalism in every process of handling and reporting public complaints,” said Bernad.
Additionally, he noted that the reported location is indeed a hotspot for frequent illegal parking violations and street vendor (PKL) activities.
Handling of such issues has been conducted routinely through net towing operations, pentil uprooting operations (OCP), and integrated enforcement involving TNI and Police elements.
The South Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department emphasises that the incident serves as an important lesson in strengthening internal monitoring and control systems.
“Going forward, we are committed to continuously enhancing supervision and ensuring that on-site enforcement is carried out responsibly, in accordance with applicable regulations, consistently, and sustainably, so that every public complaint can be handled quickly, accurately, and accountably,” stressed Bernad.
The South Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department also invites all community elements to actively participate in creating order, particularly regarding parking and traffic, to realise a more orderly and comfortable Jakarta for all.
Previously, the DKI Provincial Government confirmed the manipulation of timestamps on JAKI reports by DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency officers in Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta.
The case went viral and drew significant attention on social media after being posted by the Threads account @glensaimima on Wednesday (8/4).

Meanwhile, the timestamp on the second photo shows 23 October 2025 at 09.00 WIB.
