The South Jakarta New Student Admission Selection (SPMB) post, based at SMAN 70 Jakarta, has handled 1,294 public complaints during the 2026 SPMB implementation. “A total of 1,294 complaints have been handled by us during the SPMB implementation,” said Rosmiati, Head of Administration for the South Jakarta Region II Education Sub-Department, at SMAN 70, Jakarta, on Friday. She stated that the majority of complaints received were related to technical obstacles during the online registration process. Beyond technical issues, a considerable number of complaints were submitted by parents of prospective students concerning the verification results of achievement documents, which led to changes in the championship level of the submitted certificates. According to her, several certificates initially registered as national-level achievements were adjusted to provincial level after verification by the relevant team. “Some were downgraded from national level to provincial level. Naturally, that affects the points,” Rosmiati said. In addition to handling complaints in person, the post also received inquiries and consultations through online services. In a single day, the WhatsApp service could receive around 400 to 500 messages, while the telephone service received fewer than 100 calls. Meanwhile, the number of visitors coming directly to the post was recorded at around 100 to 150 people per day during the registration period. The South Jakarta Region II SPMB Post also provided assistance for parents experiencing difficulties using digital devices or understanding the registration flow. “We acknowledge that not all parents are proficient in using gadgets, so they are assisted by our admin team, registering here until completion,” Rosmiati explained. Up to the self-reporting stage, she said the SPMB implementation in the area proceeded relatively smoothly despite a number of obstacles faced by the public.
