Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Investment Management and One-Stop Integrated Services Unit (UP PM-PTSP) of South Jakarta has recorded 208 nightclub business permits issued from 2022 to 2026. “We have recorded 208 nightclub business permits in that area issued since 2022,” said the Head of UP PM-PTSP South Jakarta, Indarini Ekaningtyas, when contacted in Jakarta on Wednesday. The data is recorded through the integrated electronic business licensing system or OSS (Online Single Submission). The breakdown of the permits includes 130 nightclub businesses with Indonesian Standard Business Classification (KBLI) focused on beverage provision, 68 businesses emphasising dancing facilities, and 10 businesses focused on music organisation. “In addition, the number of bar business permits in South Jakarta is recorded at around 1,300 permits in the same period,” she said. Based on annual data, the issuance of bar and nightclub business permits has fluctuated from 2021 to 2026. In the early period of 2026, 101 KBLI for bars and nightclubs were recorded. Furthermore, they emphasised that PTSP only handles the processing of permit applications submitted by business actors, while the authority for guidance, supervision, and enforcement of violations lies with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. “In the field, it is not PTSP’s authority. We only process permits if there is an application. For supervision, it is at the provincial level,” she stated. She added that PTSP is administrative in nature and does not conduct direct supervision. Information on violations is usually obtained through public complaints or findings from technical agencies. “PTSP is reactive. Usually, technical agencies that find unlicensed operations will ask business actors to obtain permits at PTSP,” she said.
