The South Jakarta Metropolitan Police are strengthening patrols during the month of Ramadan. The patrols are being conducted in collaboration with local residents.

“Strengthening synergy, the South Jakarta Metropolitan Police and the community are working together to protect Jakarta - protect South Jakarta,” said the Head of Public Relations of the South Jakarta Metropolitan Police, AKBP Murodih, on Thursday (26/2/2026).

The community members involved are part of the Police and Community Partnership Forum (FKPM) and the Community Awareness Group for Security and Public Order (Pokdar Kamtibmas). In addition, online motorcycle taxi (ojol) communities and youth organisations are also participating in this ‘Protect Jakarta’ program.

This activity is held to strengthen collaboration between the Police and the community in creating a safe, conducive, comfortable, and harmonious environment.

In addition, members of the South Jakarta Metropolitan Police are also carrying out increased routine activities (KRYD) in the form of patrols and community visits. Patrols are carried out periodically, covering various areas in South Jakarta.

“To create a conducive security and public order situation, the Samapta Unit of the Pancoran Police Precinct of the South Jakarta Metropolitan Police is conducting dawn patrols in the Kalibata area,” he said.

This humanitarian patrol activity is also being carried out by distributing meals to residents, as done in Pesanggrahan. In addition to enhancing religious observance, this Ramadan is also filled with charitable activities.

“In order to welcome the holy month of Ramadan, the Pesanggrahan Police Precinct is carrying out activities to distribute meals to people passing in front of the Pesanggrahan Police Precinct, on Jalan Bintaro Utama, Bintaro Village, Pesanggrahan District,” he said.
