South Jakarta PMI Introduces First Aid in 38 Schools During MPLS

The Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) in South Jakarta introduced first aid in 38 schools during the 2026 School Environment Introduction Period (MPLS) from 15 to 17 July. ‘Most schools requested an ambulance attraction as an extracurricular demonstration,’ said South Jakarta PMI Chair Mundari on Friday. He stated that the activity is part of PMI’s efforts to introduce the importance of first aid to students from an early age. During the implementation, PMI presented ambulance attractions and provided information on first aid treatment. ‘Through PMI’s activities in this MPLS, it is hoped that they will be more enthusiastic about school and gain first aid knowledge from an early age,’ Mundari said. Through these educational activities, the South Jakarta PMI aims to build students’ awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle, maintaining safety, and upholding humanitarian values from the moment they enter the school environment. ‘Through this activity, we also want to introduce the Youth Red Cross (PMR) to the students,’ Mundari concluded.
