South Jakarta Mayor Outlines Four Priority Programmes for First 100 Days
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Mayor of South Jakarta, Syafrin Liputo, has established four main priority programmes for his first 100 days in office after officially assuming leadership of the administrative city.
“The four priority programmes include the management of urban areas and the environment, flood control, the regulation of micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) business locations, and the management of traffic congestion at several points across South Jakarta,” Syafrin stated at the South Jakarta Mayor’s Office on Tuesday.
Syafrin noted that efforts to complete the management of urban areas and the environment are ongoing. He emphasised that various ongoing development programmes will continue in accordance with the directives of the Governor of Jakarta.
“Furthermore, in accordance with the Governor’s mandate, I will certainly continue the programmes already established by the Governor for the South Jakarta region,” he said.
According to Syafrin, developmental success cannot be achieved by the government alone. Consequently, his administration will prioritise collaboration through a ‘Pentahelix’ approach, involving elements of government, academia, the business sector, communities, and the media.
“What is already working well will be maintained and even further improved. In this regard, we cannot work alone; rather, we must work through a collective-collegial approach,” he added.
He further noted that all stakeholders must move in unison to resolve various issues in South Jakarta, striving for solutions that are beneficial to the entire community.
In addition to environmental management, Syaങ്ങള് is also focusing on improving MSME locations to ensure they are better organised, thereby supporting local economic growth. In terms of disaster management, controlling flood-prone areas is a primary focus that will be coordinated with relevant regional government agencies (OPD).
Meanwhile, the issue of traffic congestion on several roads in South Jakarta remains a priority. Syafrin stated that he will coordinate with various stakeholders to find effective solutions to reduce traffic density.
Syafrin is committed to strengthening communication with the public to identify the challenges faced by residents while simultaneously improving the quality of public services.
On this occasion, Syafrin also expressed his appreciation to Muhamad Anwar for his dedication and service during his leadership of South Jakarta. He invited all elements of society to work together to maintain order and environmental comfort to realise a better South Jakarta.
“Let us build South Jakarta together based on the principles of order and comfort. Let us look after our environment so that it remains a comfortable place to live,” he concluded.
