South Jakarta Immigration Deports Dutch National for Hotel Vandalism
The South Jakarta Immigration Office has deported a Dutch national, identified by the initials TAV, for allegedly damaging hotel facilities and endangering public security and order while in Indonesia. The incident began when the hotel management reported the vandalism to the Mampang police, who then forwarded the information to the immigration office. An investigation confirmed that TAV had committed acts that threatened public security and order, as stipulated in Article 75, paragraph (1) of the Immigration Law. TAV had entered Indonesia using a Visa on Arrival for a holiday and stayed at two hotels within the jurisdiction of the South Jakarta Immigration Office, in the Menteng and Tendean areas. The deportation was executed on 20 July 2026 via Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. The South Jakarta Immigration Office has committed to strengthening surveillance of foreign nationals through synergy with the police, local government, accommodation providers, and all relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with Indonesian laws and regulations.
