South Jakarta Civil Servants Reminded Again of Ban on Using Official Vehicles for Eid Return Trips
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The South Jakarta Administrative City Government (Pemkot Jaksel) has once again reminded civil servants (ASN) of the ban on using official vehicles for non-official purposes during the national holiday period and collective leave for Nyepi and Idul Fitri this year.
“There is already an order from the Governor; ASN are prohibited from using official vehicles for returning home,” said South Jakarta Mayor Muhammad Anwar when contacted in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Anwar stated that regarding sanctions, his office would follow the rules from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Inspectorate.
“Regarding sanctions, the Provincial Inspectorate can provide the answer,” he said.
The regulation is contained in Circular Letter No. 13/SE/2026 from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Secretary, issued on 13 March 2026.
The circular is addressed to all ASN employees within the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.
The letter states that ASN are prohibited from using official vehicles, whether positional official vehicles or operational official vehicles, for personal interests such as returning home, holidays, or other activities outside official duties during the national holiday and collective leave period.
This policy refers to the provisions of Article 13 of Governor Regulation No. 119 of 2020 on the Management of Official Vehicles, which has been amended by Governor Regulation No. 27 of 2022.
In addition, the circular also follows up on Circular Letter No. 2 of 2026 from the Corruption Eradication Commission Leadership on the Prevention of Corruption and Control of Gratification related to the holiday period.
