South Aceh Regency Distributes President's Beef Aid

Banda Aceh (ANTARA) - The government of South Aceh Regency distributed beef aid packages from President Prabowo Subianto to residents affected by flooding ahead of Eid al-Adha 1447 AH. The Regent of South Aceh, Mirwan MS, said on Friday that the distribution focused on disaster-affected areas in the Kluet Raya region, covering Kluet Utara, Kluet Selatan, and Kluet Tengah districts. “Distribution is being carried out in phases and began yesterday. Currently, the aid distribution to flood-affected victims in the Kluet Raya area, which covers several districts,” he said. He explained that the aid represents the President’s concern for the people of South Aceh Regency affected by the calamity. Acting Head of the South Aceh Social Service Department Eja Rinanda Irma said the total number of beef packages distributed reached 4,090. “The aid is being distributed to communities spread across 52 villages (gampong) or desa in 12 flood-affected districts in South Aceh Regency,” she said. The distribution, she added, is based on data of affected communities compiled by the regency government in cooperation with district governments and village administrations in the disaster area. The South Aceh Regency government is also monitoring the situation of residents in affected areas to ensure basic needs are met. “The regional government urges residents to remain vigilant against extreme weather that could trigger further floods in several disaster-prone areas,” said Eja Rinanda Irma.
