Waterlogging continues to affect Jalan SOR GBLA in Gedebage Subdistrict, Bandung City, for the past three days. This vital access route was temporarily paralysed by flooding that hindered traffic flow, though it is now gradually becoming passable for vehicles. Observations at the site on Monday (13/4/2026) showed that water levels at the deepest points reached up to an adult’s calf height. Two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles can now pass through, but many motorcycles stalled while navigating the flooding. “The flooding is quite deep; it caused my motorbike engine to die,” said Jajang (35), as reported by detikJabar on Monday (13/4/2026). The resident of Cileunyi, Bandung Regency, admitted to being greatly impacted because he uses the route daily for work as an online motorcycle taxi driver. “Fortunately, my motorbike could start again,” he added. He hopes for serious attention from the government to address the flooding problem that frequently occurs in the area.
