PORTAL7.CO.ID - The Government of the Republic of Indonesia will soon take a strategic step to strengthen the national economy by formalising the status of PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI) as a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN). The legalisation process for this strategic financial institution is expected to be completed in the near future.

The certainty regarding the designation of BUMN status was announced directly by the Minister for Investment and Downstream Development and also the CEO of Danantara, Rosan Roeslani, at the Presidential Palace complex. The official designation is scheduled to take place next week in the Jakarta region.

The company that will transform into a BUMN has also prepared its operations location. The office building for PT DSI has been prepared and is located at Wisma Danantara. “At Danantara, the office has already been prepared,” said Rosan Roeslani, Minister for Investment and Downstream Development/Head of BKPM, on Friday, 22 May 2026.

The announcement indicates that the transfer of the corporation’s legality to become a state-owned entity will be completed soon. This is part of the government’s efforts to strengthen the investment sector and the national economy.

“(DSI becomes a BUMN) next week,” emphasised Rosan Roeslani, confirming the schedule for the new status.

In addition to preparing regulatory aspects, the new management team that will lead PT DSI’s operations has also been designed. The ministry has determined the names to fill the leadership positions of this strategic investment company.

Regarding the management structure, Rosan Roeslani briefly mentioned one of the names involved in the company’s leadership. “For now, Luke Thomas. There is Thomas,” said Rosan on Thursday, 21 May 2026.

To advance the formation of this new institution, the government is also intensifying coordination and gathering input from various stakeholders. This step is taken to ensure policies align with the needs of the real sector.
