Former Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Sony Sonjaya, has expanded his testimony in the corruption case surrounding the management of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme. His lawyer, Krisna Murti, stated that during questioning on Thursday (18 June), the number of names his client submitted to investigators increased from 26 to 41. Krisna explained the addition arose because certain figures requested allocations of Nutritional Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG) points for parties affiliated with them. “So one person had a table, ‘Sir, this one belongs to this person, this one belongs to that person, this one belongs to the Regent,’” he told reporters at the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung). He added that when investigators opened a chat, they found a table containing proposals for new names, bringing the total to 41. Krisna declined to disclose the identities on the list or confirm those already circulating on social media, stating some were accurate and others were not.

Krisna also revealed that Sony identified an individual with the initials ‘NSD’ who allegedly requested changes to approved SPPG foundations without official documentation. According to the official record, NSD altered the foundation names three times, and the SPPG points involved belonged to NSD. Additionally, Sony submitted evidence of a suspected fictitious procurement of 5,000 CCTV units and fingerprint detection devices for the MBG programme. Sony reportedly summoned the responsible vendor to verify the installation but the vendor could not demonstrate any operational CCTV at a requested school site. Krisna claimed the project had a budget of approximately Rp300 billion and described it as a total loss, urging investigators to uncover the details and those involved. The Kejagung has named six suspects in the case, including former BGN Head Dadan Hindayana and several other officials and associates.
