Last August my son bought a Sony radio-cassette player, type
CFS 1033S in Pasaraya Big & Beautiful. When they tried to test
the radio in the shop, some radio stations could not be clearly
tuned in. The man at the counter explained that there was
interference caused by the conditions in the building. I believed
the explanation to be true.

However, when we tried to tune it in at home to some private
business radio broadcasts, particularly around the 100 MHz could
be clearly picked up, only a creaking sound could also be heard.
And SW1, SW2 and MW waves were accompanied by a buzzing sound.

We contacted the Sony counter and asked them to exchange the
radio set for another type with the hope that it could receive
Sonora, Suara Irama Indah, Delta FM, etc. They did change it with
type CFS 1133S, but the result was the same.

I was wondering whether the quality of Sony products is
declining.
