Sony Ericsson responds
In response to I G.G.P. Bayu Ismoyo's letter in The Jakarta Post on Sept. 10 we would like to clarify as follows.
Sony Ericsson Service Center at SCBD has checked Bayu Ismoyo's R600 cellular phone and found it did not function properly. Therefore we exchanged the product.
Exchanging products, however, can only be entertained if they are still within the warranty period and by showing the original receipt of purchase and warranty card, there is no charge at all.
As stated in the guaranty, exchanging does not include the box but the handset only. We hope this explanation clarifies Bayu Ismoyo's question.
