Some countries ask for Indonesian fertilizer: Prabowo
“When I travel abroad as the Indonesian president, I am highly respected. Many countries are asking for our assistance,” Prabowo said in his speech presenting the Macroeconomic Framework and Fiscal Policy Points (KEM-PPKF) for the 2027 State Budget Draft at the parliament complex here on Wednesday.
He added Indonesia is currently increasingly respected at the international level. He mentioned countries, such as Australia, India, Brazil, and Philippines, have requested support from Indonesia since they see Indonesian fertilizer production is considered sufficient.
Thus, according to Prabowo, Indonesia has the capability to help other nations, including countries with more advanced economies.

However, Prabowo emphasized those achievements should not make Indonesia complacent and must remain an encouragement to improve various deficiencies, difficulties, and challenges.
“Indeed, there are still many shortcomings and I am a person who always invites everyone to dare facing our shortcomings, our difficulties, and our challenges. We must be able to overcome problems in our economy. If we do so, we will grow tremendously,” he stated.
Prabowo stated his government had anticipated potential global crises after learning from the COVID-19 pandemic and various world food stock turbulences.
He mentioned that Indonesian food production is currently at the highest in its history, while rice reserves have reached more than 5.3 million tons. The government has also secured national fertilizer production and reduced fertilizer prices by 20 percent for the first time in Indonesian history.
Prabowo said Indonesian farmers can now obtain fertilizer in sufficient quantities, but the government still needs to monitor them so that subsidized fertilizer is not misused or smuggled elsewhere.
