Solusiku P2P Lender Summoned by OJK Over Alleged Debt Collection Violations
The Financial Services Authority (OJK) summoned and requested clarification from PT Anugerah Digital Indonesia, the operator of the ‘Solusiku’ peer-to-peer lending platform, on Thursday (4/6/2026). This move is part of OJK’s supervisory function and a follow-up to consumer complaints submitted via the OJK Consumer Protection Portal (APPK) regarding alleged irregularities in debt collection processes.
According to the complaints received, consumers alleged debt collection actions that do not align with consumer protection principles, including the suspected misuse of personal data and the disclosure of information to unauthorised third parties. OJK is currently conducting a deep dive to verify the accuracy and completeness of this information based on data, documents, and statements from relevant parties.
In its request for clarification, OJK highlighted several aspects that the operator must address, including: compliance of collection processes with prevailing laws, internal standard operating procedures, and applicable codes of conduct; the use of official company channels, devices, and numbers in collection activities; the effectiveness of the operator’s supervision over both internal and third-party collection agents; and the implementation of personal data protection for consumers during the collection process.
OJK has instructed the operator to ensure a temporary suspension of any collection actions that potentially violate regulations against consumers who have filed complaints until the grievance process is finalised. Furthermore, the operator must submit all necessary data and documents for supervisory purposes, conduct internal reviews of those allegedly involved, take corrective measures, and strengthen collection oversight mechanisms, including for third-party agents.
OJK stated it will continue to monitor the operator’s follow-up actions. If violations of existing regulations are found, OJK may impose administrative sanctions and/or other supervisory measures. The regulator emphasised that all P2P lending providers must operate professionally, transparently, and responsibly, with a focus on consumer protection. Debt collection must be conducted ethically, without intimidation, threats, or the misuse of personal data.
OJK also urged the public to only use technology-based lending services from providers licensed and supervised by OJK. Consumers remain obligated to fulfil agreed loan agreements, including making payments according to the agreed amount and timeframe. Members of the public who encounter suspected violations by financial service providers can submit complaints through OJK’s official channels, including the APPK App, OJK Contact 157, WhatsApp, or email.
