Solo's Satpol PP Raids Illegal Liquor Operation Using Cups at Lokananta
The Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) of Solo City has raided an outlet that brazenly sold alcoholic beverages without a licence in the Lokananta area. A total of 193 alcoholic drinks were seized, having been sold in cup packaging.
During the raid on Sunday (19/7/2026), Satpol PP discovered Category B and C alcoholic beverages in the Ruang Bahagia section of the Lokananta area. The location had indeed been monitored and subjected to enforcement action.
“From our investigation, drinks from bottles were poured into cups and only given certain codes or initials referring to their type or brand. Transactions were also carried out without receipts or official records,” said Satpol PP Chief Didik Anggono, as reported by detikJateng on Monday (20/7).
Didik explained that the premises had previously been sanctioned in 2025. A fresh investigation was launched following a fight near the stands behind the row of shophouses in the Lokananta area.
“For roughly a week, Satpol PP gathered information covertly to confirm the existence of unlicensed alcoholic beverage sales activity,” he explained.
Although the operator held a licence to sell Category A alcoholic beverages, Didik said the management was suspected of still selling Category B and C drinks discreetly without possessing the required permits.
“From our findings, drinks from bottles were poured into cups. Transactions were also conducted without receipts or official records. We collected video evidence and purchase transaction records before taking action,” he stated.
Beyond the licensing issue, the location of the alcohol sales was deemed unsuitable. This is because the service area is integrated with a food and coffee outlet frequented by the general public, including children.
