Solok Regency Receives Aid for Flood Victims from the President of Indonesia
Solok (ANTARA) - The Regent of Solok, West Sumatra, Jon Firman Pandu, received aid for residents affected by hydrometeorological disasters in the local area from Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto. “This aid represents the central government’s attention to the community facing hardship due to natural disasters, especially ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah,” said Solok Regent Jon Firman Pandu in Solok on Thursday. The aid from the President was directly delivered by Dr. Drs. Teguh Narutomo, MM, Director of Regional Revenue at the Directorate General of Regional Financial Development, Ministry of Home Affairs, to the Solok Regency government for distribution to those in need. In addition to supporting disaster-affected residents, the aid is also intended to assist families in need ahead of Eid al-Fitr, thereby alleviating the community’s burden in meeting their requirements before the holiday. “Thank you to Mr. President for the aid and attention given to the people of Solok Regency. This assistance is certainly very meaningful to our community affected by the disaster, especially ahead of Eid al-Fitr,” stated Jon. The Regent of Solok also emphasised that the aid would be promptly distributed to those in need according to data compiled by the local government in collaboration with relevant parties. The Solok Regency government is also continuing to coordinate with the central and provincial governments in efforts to handle post-disaster situations and restore conditions for the affected community.
