Solok Regency hands over six permanent housing units to victims of hydro-meteorological disaster
This represents a collective effort to assist disaster-affected communities in returning to better lives. Solok (ANTARA) - The Solok Regency Government in West Sumatra handed over aid in the form of six permanent housing units (huntap) to victims of a hydro-meteorological disaster in Nagari Selayo, Kubung District, in the region. Solok Bupati Jon Firman Pandu in Solok on Thursday stated that the aid resulted from collaboration with Dimensi Group, which had completed the construction of houses for the affected residents. The Solok Bupati appreciated Dimensi Group’s contribution in helping the people of Solok Regency. He emphasised that synergy between the government and the private sector is crucial in disaster management, particularly in providing housing for affected victims. According to him, this is a form of collective concern to help disaster-affected communities return to better lives. The Bupati also hopes that this aid can be well utilised by the recipients and serve as the beginning of community life recovery in Nagari Selayo. Meanwhile, the chairman of the Dimensi Group foundation, retired Major General TNI Arkamelvi Karmani, stated that his side is committed to continuing contributions in social and humanitarian activities, especially in assisting those in need. With the handover of these six huntap house units, it is hoped that the disaster victims in Nagari Selayo can soon occupy new, more decent, safe, and comfortable homes. The aid handover was carried out directly by the Solok Bupati as a form of the local government’s commitment to accelerating post-disaster recovery, while ensuring that the community can return to decent and safe housing.
