Solo to host next royal fest

SURAKARTA, Central Java: This city, more popularly known as Solo, has been selected to host the next festival of royalties in 1995, the Antara news agency said.

Head of Surakarta's tourism office Soetrisno said the two royal palaces in Solo, Kasunanan and Mangkunegaran, are ready to play host to the festival while Mayor R. Hartomo has agreed to provide all the necessary facilities.

This year's festival will kick off in nearby Yogyakarta on Saturday. (rid)
