Solo Mayor Respati Ardi will host an open house event, or “gelar griya”, to welcome Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah at Loji Gandrung in Solo, Central Java. The annual agenda is planned to take place after the determination of 1 Syawal through the isbat session scheduled for Thursday, 19 March 2026.

Respati stated that the timing of the open house will adjust to the government’s decision regarding the holiday. “The date will follow the results of the isbat session on 19 March,” said Respati to reporters in Solo on Thursday, 19 March 2026.

Respati explained that the event will start around 08:00 WIB or after he and Deputy Mayor Astrid Widayani perform Eid al-Fitr prayers at Solo City Hall. According to him, the event concept will remain simple as in previous years, yet open to the general public.

“We will keep it the same as previous years, held simply but open to the public,” he said.

Although embracing a simple concept, the Solo City Government will still strive to create a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere for visitors. One key focus is providing child-friendly facilities.

Respati revealed that they will feature a play area or playground so children can enjoy the Lebaran atmosphere more delightfully.

“Specifically in Solo, what’s special about this open house is the playground for children to play at Loji Gandrung,” he stated.

In addition, visitors will be treated to various culinary choices as well as live music entertainment, which is expected to add warmth to the silaturahmi atmosphere. Respati believes that the presence of these facilities can make the public more comfortable and enjoy the moments of togetherness.

He invited Solo residents to take advantage of this opportunity as a gathering and silaturahmi event. “Please come if Solo residents have no other activities; let’s celebrate together at Loji Gandrung on the day,” he said.

According to Respati, this open house is not merely a ceremonial tradition but also a space for interaction between the government and the community. He hopes the event can strengthen relationships while bringing joy on the day of victory.

“The hope is that it can become a space for togetherness between the government and residents, and bring happiness in the Lebaran moment,” he said.
