Solo Mayor Responds After Lokananta Alcohol Vendor Files Lawsuit Over Raid

The management of the Ruang Bahagia cafe in Lokananta has sued the Solo City Government after being raided for possessing alcoholic beverages without a permit last July. Solo Mayor Respati Ardi said his administration will follow the applicable regulations. “We will follow the applicable regulations. We respect the process, we will respect anyone’s process. We respect the legal process,” Respati said. Regarding the possibility of a counter-suit from the city government or the management, Respati admitted he is still monitoring developments in the trial. He does not want to rush into taking further legal steps. “We will see the legal process,” he said briefly. Nevertheless, Respati stressed that his administration is not remaining silent. He confirmed that a defence strategy has been prepared to face the lawsuit. “We will prepare our legal team,” he asserted.
