Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas has responded to the trademark application for SISKS Paku Buwono XIV, the title of the king of the Solo Palace. The process is currently in the announcement phase. Supratman has urged interested parties to immediately utilise the available legal mechanisms. One way is by submitting an objection along with supporting documents to the Directorate General of Intellectual Property. “I request that objections to the trademark application or requests for deletion of copyright records be submitted immediately according to the established mechanisms,” Supratman said during a discussion at Graha Pengayoman, South Jakarta, on Friday. He stated that the Ministry of Law would follow up after receiving all the objection documents. “Once the objection and all supporting documents are received, the Ministry of Law will conduct an in-depth review and provide protection to the party that is entitled according to the provisions of the legislation,” Supratman said. He assured that every trademark application is processed in accordance with statutory regulations, including providing an opportunity for the public or interested parties to file objections during the announcement period.
