Official referral documents belonging to former F1 driver Rio Haryanto went viral after being uploaded without redaction to the social media story of a sub-district office employee in Solo, Central Java.

A Threads account shared screenshots of the story posted by the employee, identified by the initial A, which featured two documents — a certificate of inheritance and a referral letter belonging to Rio Haryanto.

The Head of the Solo City Civil Service and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM), Beni Supartono, confirmed that a government employee had shared public service documents and that the individual had been summoned.

“We called them to BKPSDM today and are currently investigating the matter,” he said when contacted on Wednesday (18 February 2026).

Beni explained that A had previously served as a front office worker at Penumping Sub-District Office under a Fixed-Term Employment Contract (TKPK). The employee currently holds a full-time Government Employee with Employment Agreement (P3K) position at the Municipal Police (Satpol PP).

“What was shared dates from when the individual was still serving as TKPK staff at Penumping — not at the Health Office, but at the sub-district office. The individual has since become a full-time P3K employee at Satpol PP,” he explained.

“Judging from the story content regarding Rio’s wedding, this incident did not occur recently,” he added.

Beni further explained that Satpol PP had also summoned the individual concerned. The matter was being coordinated with his office for further questioning.

“We have coordinated with the Satpol PP chief, and an internal investigation report has already been prepared. There was a summons at Satpol PP itself, and this afternoon we will follow up on the results of that report at the city level. The decision will depend on whether any regulations were violated or whether there are other considerations, as we also need to assess the impact,” he explained.

He said the outcome of the forthcoming meeting would determine the sanction to be imposed — whether it would be a minor or serious disciplinary penalty.

“We will assess whether the individual faces light or serious disciplinary action — that has yet to be decided. This afternoon we will summon them for the formal investigation,” he said.
