Solo District Court Rejects Lawsuit Regarding Jokowi's Diploma

The Solo District Court (PN Solo) has rejected a lawsuit related to the diploma of Indonesia’s seventh President, Joko Widodo (Jokowi). The lawsuit was filed as a Citizen Lawsuit (CLS).

According to detikJateng on Tuesday (14/4/2026), the decision numbered 211/Pdt.G/2025/PN Skt was read out online or via e-court. PN Solo’s public relations officer, Subagyo, stated that the panel of judges in its ruling did not accept the lawsuit.

“Ruling. On the exception, accepting the exceptions of Defendant I, Defendant II, Defendant III, and Co-Defendant,” said Subagyo when contacted.

“On the merits of the case. One, declaring the plaintiffs’ lawsuit inadmissible (niet onvankelijk verklaard). Two, ordering the plaintiffs to pay the court costs amounting to Rp 537,000,” he added.

It is known that the case was filed by UGM alumni, Top Taufan and Bangun Sutoto. The two sued Jokowi as defendant 1; UGM Rector Prof dr. Ova Emilia as defendant 2; UGM Vice Rector Prof Dr Wening as defendant 3, and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) as defendant 4.

The trial at that time was presided over by a panel of judges led by Achmad Satibi, with member judges Aris Gunawan and Lulik Djatikumoro.
