Solo City Imposes Nine-Month Salary Cut on Civil Servant for Disclosing Rio Haryanto's Documents
The Solo City government has imposed sanctions against a former village officer who disclosed documents belonging to former Formula 1 driver Rio Haryanto. The sanction consists of a 5 per cent salary reduction for nine months.
“The decree was submitted to the person concerned yesterday. The sanction involves a 5 per cent salary reduction for nine months,” said Head of the Civil Service and Human Resource Development Agency (BKPSDM), Beni Supartono, as reported by detikJateng on Monday, 9 March 2026.
Beni stated that the officer is currently working normally at the Solo City Civil Police Unit (Satpol PP). He noted that the punishment only covers base salary reduction for nine months.
“What is being reduced is the base salary. He continues to work; he must correct his actions and serve his sentence for nine months,” he explained.
Beni further stated that the sanctions were decided through a joint meeting with stakeholders including the Inspectorate, legal department, and Regional Secretary (Sekda), as well as Solo City Mayor Respati Ardi. The sanction notification letter was recently issued to the officer on Friday, 6 March.
“The sanction was issued last Friday and directly handed over to the person concerned,” he said.
