Solo City Government to Sanction Sub-District Employee Who Posted Rio Haryanto's Documents
The actions of a sub-district office employee in Solo who disclosed documents belonging to former F1 driver Rio Haryanto on social media have had significant repercussions. The Solo city government has stated that the employee violated regulations and will face sanctions.
The employee, identified by the initial A, was summoned for clarification by the City of Solo’s Civil Service and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM). The outcome confirmed that the individual had violated Mayoral Regulation Number 42 of 2022.
“Today, an official examination report was drawn up to clarify the circulating news. The individual in question has violated Mayoral Regulation Number 42 of 2022,” said BKPSDM Head Beni Supartono on Wednesday (18 February 2026).
Beni explained that A had breached Article 5, paragraph F of Mayoral Regulation Number 42 of 2022, which concerns integrity and exemplary conduct in behaviour, both in speech and action.
“The regulation pertains to integrity and exemplary conduct in behavioural attitudes, speech and actions towards every person,” he stated.
BKPSDM convened a hearing to determine the appropriate sanction. Beni said there were three tiers of sanctions that could be imposed on A, ranging from light to moderate to severe.
“The light penalties comprise a verbal reprimand, a written reprimand, and a statement of dissatisfaction. The moderate sanction involves a five per cent salary deduction for six or nine months. The severe penalty is either honourable or dishonourable dismissal,” he explained.
