Solo Celebrates 281st Anniversary with Jenang Festival, Distributing 15,000 Portions to Residents

Deputy Mayor of Surakarta, Astrid Widayani, led the Jenang Festival procession to commemorate the 281st anniversary of Solo at the Ngarsopuro Corridor area, Central Java, on Tuesday.

The festival distributed 15,000 portions of jenang, a traditional Javanese confection, to residents as part of the city’s birthday celebrations.
