Solidarity action for Indonesian citizens and a journalist kidnapped by Israel

Bandung, West Java — Senior photojournalist Yogi Ardhi held a photograph of Republika photographer Thoudy Badai, one of the journalists reportedly kidnapped by Israel, during a solidarity demonstration for Indonesian citizens and journalists kidnapped by Israel on Jalan Asia Afrika in Bandung on Tuesday, 19 May 2026. The demonstration, organised by Solidaritas Seni untuk Palestina, called on the government to secure the release of Indonesians and journalists kidnapped while undertaking the Global Sumud Flotilla to Gaza in the waters off Cyprus on 18 May 2026. Protesters also waved Palestinian flags during the event.
