Soldiers to be questioned

BANDUNG, West Java: Chief of the military police at the Siliwangi regional military command Col. Iding Alidin said five soldiers will be interrogated for allegedly abusing Dada, a 20- year-old resident of Cireyod, Cikole village, Lembang district.

"We will not tolerate violations committed by any Armed Forces members. We'll take action against them," Iding was quoted by Antara as saying on Wednesday.

Dada's mother, Ratna, said Dada was abducted on Saturday by three of the soldiers and taken to their base in Lembang, where he was beaten up by the five soldiers for no apparent reason.

Dada was said to have been returned with bruises. (swe)
