Soetta Immigration Ranks Among World's Top 10 Best, Menimipas: Services Must Be Efficient, Safe, and Friendly
Minister of Immigration and Community Affairs (Menimipas), Agus Andrianto, emphasised that the achievement of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport’s Immigration Service breaking into the world’s top 10 best is the fruit of the Directorate General of Immigration’s efforts to deliver services based on digital technology. Minister Agus stressed his emphasis to the immigration ranks to provide the best public services.
“This achievement is the result of the hard work of the entire ranks in providing the best services to the public and airport users,” said Minister Agus, quoted from the official website of the Directorate General of Immigration of the Ministry of Menimipas on Sunday (22/3/2026).
He encouraged the immigration ranks to continue realising innovations, especially in the field of public services. “Going forward, we will continue to innovate to strengthen service quality and increase Indonesia’s competitiveness in international assessments,” added Minister Agus.
It is known that the achievement of Soetta Airport’s immigration services entering the world’s top 10 best was announced by Skytrax at the World Airport Skytrax Awards 2026, as part of the World Airport Awards Ceremony 2026, during the Passenger Terminal Expo (PTE) in London, England, on Wednesday (18/3).
The survey involved service users from more than 100 countries. The survey was conducted from August 2025 to February 2026.
The main assessment indicators include efficiency of waiting times, optimisation of autogate technology, availability of priority lanes, and professionalism of frontline officers.
“This award demonstrates the importance of digital transformation and strengthening technology-based services in improving public service quality,” stated Minister Agus.
Minister Agus then mentioned that this achievement is expected to motivate his ranks to continue strengthening service standards that are more efficient, safe, and friendly. “With support from all parties, we will continue to strengthen service standards, expand the implementation of advanced technology, and make immigration services an example of the best public services in Indonesia,” he concluded.
