Soetta Airport Accelerates Umrah Service Relocation to Dedicated Terminal 2F
PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (Persero), operating as InJourney Airports at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport branch office in Tangerang, Banten, has announced that the third phase of Umrah service relocation to the dedicated Terminal 2F will be accelerated to 10 July 2026. This decision is based on an evaluation of the implementation of the Director General of Civil Aviation Circular Letter Number SE DJPU 12 of 2026 and the Director General of Hajj and Umrah Implementation Circular Letter Number SE-153/BN/2026.
General Manager of Soetta Airport, Heru Karyadi, stated that the evaluation of the first phase showed the departure process for Umrah pilgrims through Terminal 2F proceeded smoothly. All stakeholders were able to collaborate optimally, allowing the schedule for the next phase to be adjusted while prioritising operational readiness and service quality.
He noted that the first phase of the Umrah group departure service relocation to the dedicated Hajj and Umrah Terminal 2F at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on 1 July 2026 ran smoothly. During this initial phase, pilgrims were served by Loong Air, Hainan Airlines, and Saudi Arabian Airlines.
Based on coordination with regulators and all stakeholders, the third phase, originally scheduled for 15 July 2026, has been brought forward to 10 July 2026. Heru explained that the smooth implementation of the first phase provided the basis for accelerating the completion of the operational transition, allowing the benefits of the dedicated Terminal 2F to be experienced more quickly by all Umrah pilgrims.
Following this adjustment, the operational relocation phases are as follows: Phase 1, already implemented on 1 July 2026, covers Loong Air, Hainan Airlines, and Saudi Arabian Airlines. Phase 2, scheduled for 8 July 2026, covers Scoot and Turkish Airlines. Phase 3, now scheduled for 10 July 2026, covers Qatar Airways, EgyptAir, Oman Air, Emirates, and Etihad Airways.
