Soekarno-Hatta Police Bust National and International Drug Network, 14 Arrested
The Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police, in collaboration with Soekarno-Hatta Airport Customs, has uncovered a national and international narcotics network through a joint operation. During this series of exposures, police secured 14 suspects and seized narcotics including etomidate and methamphetamine (shabu).
According to a press release received on Saturday (3/10/2026), the operation comprised six police reports. Four reports were the result of a joint operation between the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police and Customs, while the other two were uncovered by the Narcotics Unit of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police.
“The disclosure materials state a total of 14 suspects,” the press release noted.
Eleven suspects were arrested during the joint operation between the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police and Customs. These include four Indonesian citizens with the initials TR, MH, TB, and RN; six Indian nationals with the initials SSM, MKS, SMAS, RK, SPMA, and SNK; and one Singaporean national with the initials LHM.
Meanwhile, three other suspects, all Indonesian citizens with the initials DAD (alias A), MR, and IAPY (alias I), were arrested during the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police’s exposure of a methamphetamine network and an etomidate clandestine laboratory.
From the entire series of exposures, the seized evidence included 2.250 kilograms of liquid etomidate, 779.7 grams of liquid etomidate along with 11 cartridges ready for distribution, 8.078 kilograms of powdered etomidate accompanied by 33.9 grams of methamphetamine and 25 cartridges ready for distribution, 5.032 kilograms of powdered etomidate, 2.217 kilograms of Class I narcotics (methamphetamine), and 223 cartridges containing etomidate ready for distribution.
“The recap materials stated that the total evidence secured includes 3.029 kilograms of liquid etomidate, 13.110 kilograms of powdered etomidate, 249 cartridges of etomidate in ready-to-distribute packaging, and 2.250,9 kilograms of Class I narcotics (methamphetamine),” the press release stated.
From these operations, three clandestine laboratories were discovered in a luxury residential area in North Jakarta, an apartment in the Pantai Indah Kapuk area, and a residential area in Sidoarjo, East Java.
The seized evidence could be processed into 23,817 pieces of etomidate ready for distribution. Police estimate that the total value of the evidence, if circulated in society, reaches approximately Rp 145.56 billion.
“The evidence is reported to have the potential to save 106,353 lives of the Indonesian nation’s younger generation,” wrote the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police press release.
